Ingredients & Directions
Yields approximately 36 small balls
- 3 cakes of tofu, pressed and mashed
- 1 cup finely chopped onions
- 3 T vegetable oil
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 1/2 T dark sesame oil
- 3 T tamari soy sauce
- black pepper to taste
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup toasted sesame seeds
- 1 T ground cumin
- 1 T turmeric
- 4 T tahini
- 4 T fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 to 1/2 t cayenne pepper
In a large bowl, mix together all the ingredients. Form into 1-inch balls and bake at 350 F on an oiled baking sheet for about 30 minutes. The balls should be golden and a little crusty on the outside, but still moist inside.
